Problem for CD Players
Generic problem for all CD Players
Carousel 5-disc will not read cd's
Fisher 5-disk carousel will not play cd's anymore. It states it is cd single compatible. Did the cd's change recently? They play in my computer.

- I took the system apart and could not locate the lens. Where is the cd lens located in a stereo system that has a 5-disc carousel changer? It is a Fisher Model TAD 992 made in August 1992. It is practically new.Best Solution

Maybe there is some dirt on the laser lenses?

- You have to take it apart to acces the lens, then carefuly clean the lens with alcohol and cotton earstick, without pressing it much. Tricky, yeah, but it could be done.Oct 08, 2007
