If this sound is similar to a jet engine then it may be best to get a quote from your local repair man to see if repairing the unit will be worth it. there are a lot of steps in fixing this problem and you may be able to do this yourself but it is pretty difficult.
sound like you need a new rear bearing and a spin support shaft

Samsung front load washer, jerks and makes noise when it first starts spinningthen it smooths out, and works fine.

on many machines that is normal, the shaking continues until the load is distributed relative evenly around the spinning drum. It is also possible it is the main bearing but I am not sure. The noise I am talking about would have been there since new. These links may help. Washer has noise during spin cycle Whirlpool Maytag Sears GHW9100LW1 Washer is Making Loud Noise

Water will not drain out of front Load Kenmore 44072

Kenmore front loading washing machines will give you years of service. Sometimes things do go wrong, especially after the warranty runs out. Troubleshooting a Kenmore front loading washing machine could save you a lot of money on a repair bill. Before you call a service technician to fix your machine, attempt to resolve the issue through simple fixes first.
Washer Code Messages Your Kenmore front loading washing machine has an LED display that will give you error codes.
Will Not Spin If your washing machine does not spin, check to make sure the door has latched completely. Also remember that if your machine is in the SUD cycle it will not spin until it has eliminated the suds.
Washer Is Noisy
  • If the washer is making noise or vibrating, check to make sure it is still level. If it is out of level you can change this by adjusting the feet. Metal belt buckles and buttons in your laundry could be causing the noise as well.
  • Door Stays Locked After Cycle
  • At the end of the wash cycle, the lock will disengage after about 30 seconds. If it does not, it may be because the machine still detects that the water has not completely drained. Just select "Drain" and "Spin" and let the washer go through the cycle. Your door should unlock.

My kenmore front loading washer is screeching during spin cycle and seems to be spinning poorly at times. what is going on?

The wash drum should spin smoothly by hand without much noise. It is supported with two sets of ball bearings. If the water seal fails, water starts to leak into the inner bearing and they start to rust causing a loud noise especially during the spin cycle. The only way to fix it is to replace the bearings and seal. It a big and expensive job to replace the bearings since you literally need to take your washer apart to get to the bearings. Sorry.

My front loading washer won't spin.

I removed the lower front panel. There's a manual inside and I used the instructions to retrieve the error code. The code indicated a door latch problem. I couldn't do much about that, so I ignored it & kept looking. I completely removed the rubber drain fitting. Inside I found 2 quarters and an underwire from a bra. It was really hard to put back together again - I used a small pair of vise grips to keep each clamp open while slipping the rubber over the plastic fittings. To my amazement, this fixed my problem! All I need to do now is cancel the service appointment.

Noise during spin cycle

The suspension springs are not expensive and is usually the problem with a noisy (unbalanced) spin cycle.

Loud spin cycle/water leaking

If your washer is making a "freight train" like noise in the spin mode, ( loud roaring ), this is often the spin bearing built into the bottom area of the transmission that is worn out. This bearing is part of the transmission and means a new transmission is required. The noise is usually a result of water leaking from the center seal and bearing area onto the transmission. This water washes out the bearing and it gets very noisy in the spin cycle!! Do check the easy stuff before condemning, nail/pin caught in one of the inner basket holes, nothing is caught in the drain pump, the inner wash basket is not loose and wobbling around.

Loud Noise - Spin Cycle

If the washer is making a squealing noise, the problem is more likely to be the basket drive. If it is more like a rattling sound, the centerpost bearings are probably worn out. Open machine's rear panel and spin the basket manually by turning the drive pulley, to find out from where exactly the noise come from. Defective part should be replaced. Good luck !!
