I have the same thing but on an AcerAL1603W 16" LCD Monitor but it is brand new so shouldn't be dying yet (only plugged it in last night) Any other ideas?

I have the Acer 19" LCD AL1916W. It's only around 8 months old, and already the display will go out completely. If I turn it off for a minute or two, then power it back up, it will work again for 10 minutes or so, then black out again. I am going to hook it up to my daughter's computer to see if the same problems persist. If so, then I agree with the response made by another user....most likely the back light is about to "**** the bed". I don't think I will go with another Acer monitor....if they cannot even last one damn year! Grrrr!!!

Same issue. Mine only stays on for a few seconds and then goes out. It can be powered off and then back on and stay good for a few seconds. A horrible cycle.

This is not a setting or driver issue! The best way to determine this is to connect the monitor up to another device to see if the same thing occurs! If it does then your backlight is in bad shape and it is starting to go bad. It will generate enough power to display some images, but when it continues to be on for a certain peirod of time it goes black. This is common when the backlight is starting to go bad!

We are experiancing probems with our agua view. The light comes on on the moniter but there is no video coming through. Is there a fix for this issue

i was having the same prob. so i cut the male conector part off the the camera cord and cut like 4" of the black cord part off to expose the wires. there will be 4 colored wires and 1 bare wire cut the bare wire off as close as you can to where you stripped off the black part, then expose the top inch of each color wire. OK now open up the back of the monitor, take the black female connector off you dont need it. you will see a 4 prong female connector part inside cut that off too, then conect the wires black - black / yellow - white / red - orange (i think it was orange) / blue - green . it sounds kinda complicated, but really easy, and now it works great! make sure you use electrical tape or something over bare wires

The moniter blacked out, blue light is saying the moniter is still on, but screen looks like there is no power. When you turn on the moniter, the screen shows up for a few seconds, then blacks out again!...

Unplug power. Unplug VGA cable. Remove back of monitor. (four small Philips headed screws along the bottom rear. Remove screws attaching Monitor to it's base. Carefully, lean the screen away from back of case. Gently unplug 25 pin cable from the screen.
Connect AC power.
Screen should power on Gray to White. Ble light comes on Blue.Flickers then changes to Amber.
Reconnect VGA cable. Monitor should work.
Close up the monitor in reverse order to opening it.
If these steps don't solve your monitor, consider replacing as cost of repairs may shock you.

How to hook this monitor onto my computer

You would have got a CD with this moniter..
we ahve install that cd..
and its better to check the cables first which would be the
VGA CORD that is blue in colour which connects your moniter with the tower.
We can check the connections with the moniter for the Tower and then install the cd.
