Very important to check valve clearance and have it run on a dyno to see if jetting and power is were it should be. I could refer you to a shop if I knew were you live.

I bought my Shine 1 month before. From the time I bought, I am facing a problem with the bike. Every day I have to use the choke for 5 minutes for the bike to start and run. If I remove the choking just...

1. Sounds like maybe fuel line from gas tank is clogging. Clean gas tank. To check, remove some gas from tank and run it through a paint screen.
2. Replace gas filter regardless.
3. Could also just be water in gas tank. Drain some gas from lowest point of tank (usually the reserve), into glass jar. Water should settle to bottom.

I bought this 2003 Kawasaki ZX9R about 3 days ago so i'm new to owning, maintaining and proper riding of this bike. I listed a problem that I am having with the bike about 2hrs ago but I also needed to ask...

You are a new bike rider ... first thing ... don't get mad - don't exceed the speed limit ... I don't care what color your new machine is or how cool you think the girls will think you are while scaring the daylights out of old people and dogs. It is not cool. (insert boys if appropriate)

Due to the nature of this site - I have not seen your other question ... so I cannot comment.

To your questions, there should be a dip stick on the right hand side of the bike. Check it ... don't over fill it. When empty, it will take probably around 2 quarts. Do not depend on using all 5 gallons of your gas before you refill ... best advice I can give you is fill every 100 miles until you get a feel for your mileage. There should be a trip meter on your bike - set it when you fill up with gas. You know about the 'reserve tank'? Never turn the valve to reserve unless you are out of gas. Otherwise, you WILL be out of gas. Pushing a cool motorcycle is not cool.

If you have a tach, there should be a red line on it ... NEVER EXCEED IT ...

Please find a Motorcycle Safety Foundation BRC and enroll in the course. Not only will you get lots of good information, your insurance company will probably give you a discount for having completed it. (Basic Rider Course). You may want to join the Kawasaki Riders Club and you might want to join the American Motorcyclist Association.

My 01 zx9r is choking out around 5 grand to 8 grand only in gear

is your bike all stock? how many miles on it? sounds like a carb issue. try draining float bowls into clear container so you can see what came out.(water dirt etc)

Have a 1998 kaw zx9r with yoshimera slip on exhaust.bike seems to be running a little rich,do i need to re jet?

you are supposed to jet any bike when you put a high performance pipe on it. you can damage valves and rings even with a slip on. i am using a stage 1 dyno jet kit with a yoshi rs3 oval slip on.
