Question about RCA RT2620 System

Complete failure of receiver

My receiver quit so I took it to a tech guy who told me just to unplug it and plug it back in when it quit working. That worked for awhile but even that won't work now. What I would like to do is replace the receiver and keep the speakers that came with it. Any idea where I could find a used (but working) receiver?

I have a vizio 32" tv E3D320VX. When I turn the TV on the Vizio logo will come on then disappear backlight will come on then power off. All get is sound no display. What could be wrong? Suspecting bac

Look inside for a block assembly with larger components and several connectors that is bolted onto a larger panel.
These are purchased from other sources, not made by Vizio.

Look into the guts of this assembly for cylindrical components with plastic foil and an aluminum top, mostly mounted vertical to the board.

Examine the tops of these for any dome-like appearance; this is a sign of failure since these should be flat.
They are inexpensive (one reason they fail) and this failure can be prevented by spending another dollar or two in the manufacture of them.

Replacements can be had but unless a couple of parts are added (by the maker or a smart tech) the same failure will eventually occur.

Sony STR-D460Z receiver

A common cause are failures in the amplifier output stage, the drivers, and some of the support components. You will have to send the unit out for service.

Fan check

From what I can gather the problem is caused by a faulty sensor. I don't know where the sensor is yet. But I have eliminated everything else associated with the fan which is the fan lol.

I have taken the fan out of my HT-Z510 and hooked it up to my computer and it worked flawlessly.. I am awaiting an email from Samsung as we speak. I will keep you posted

Bose Lifestyle V20 Error 180

OK talked with Bose just a minute ago and they were able to correct the issue.

We disabled the power cord from the back of the media console (where the HDMI cables connect) and left it off for a minute or two.

Powered the media console back on and it is working as expected.

Was told by the Bose tech that the common reason for this issue is due to the use of the HDMI cables that have a propritary security protocol that is used between the media console and the component it is attached to (ie TV, Cable/Sat, BluRay ...ect).

I asked if there was a BIOS upgrade if it was indeed a "handshaking" issue and was told there was not one (yet).

If one becomes available, it will be shipped via mail on a CD\DVD that can be used in a CD\DVD player that is connected to the media console using the HDMI cable.

Hope this helps!

Sub won't stay powered up

well if your getting sound out of your surround speakers then the sub is busted, if your getting no sound at all then your speaker input's are either bad or out... i would test the speaker inputs...

Non bose dvd player for bose system

In short, you can. I did it last night. My Bose 321 DVD player is junk and it's always been junk, but I love the sound sytem. Last night, after the thing gobbled it's last DVD, I went through the whole, unplug, wait 5 minutes, plug back in, etc. and it still wouldn't eject so I ripped the DVD tray out of the thing with a pair of pliers, recovered my DVD, and slammed the tray back in, stripping all the gears and screwing up the motor in the process.
BUT, I disconnected the video cable from my Bose and plugged it into the video out on my el-cheapo Tru-Tech $99 DVD recorder. Then I ran the audio out cables from the Tru-Tech to the Aux 1 inputs on my Bose 321.
When I want to watch a DVD now, I put the DVD in my Tru-Tech, turn on the Bose, switch it to Aux 1, and I get a great picture and the Bose sound. Best of all, I don't have to plug and unplug that sorry Bose system everytime the wind blows.
They used the absolute cheapest DVD player they could get their hands on--a Toshiba model--for all the Bose 321 older models. Every single person who bought one has had these same troubles and they've made no offer to fix them.
This was my first and last Bose because of that and I hope more people stay away from Bose until they get their act together and protect their customers. $1000 for a system that eats DVDs like M&M's is ridiculous.

Hi...I found your post while searching for the answer to the same question!  I thought I'd let you know what the tech support person told me, which worked immediately.  There is a button on your remote that says MUSIC with SRD above it.  Push this button, while surround sound speakers are on, and they should work instantly.  They are quieter than the regular speakers, so you might have to turn up the sound.  Hope this works for you (if you are still having troubles, that is).  The manual was no help with this subject.  So frustrating!

DVD frozen

suggest unplug Bose system from the wall for 10 secs, then plug in and allow it to initialise.
if this fails take bose unit to dealer.
