Question about Kenwood KDC-X811
SOURCE: Power problem with my KDC-M7024
The part number for that cable is
This other cable going from the other display to the main board should also be replaced at the same time.
You can verify the part number by looking right on the cable, it is on the very end of the cable on the part that overlaps the connector the cable plugs into.
Only places i know that sell them are authorized kenwood servie centers. There should be one in your area.
please give me a "fixya" if this helps.

I've had this problem before. The ribbon cable needs to be replaced. They wear out every few years. Take it in for service. Or do you want to sell it? I need the face plate for mine.

If you can turn the unit ON/OFF or operate the station presets on your faceplate, then the faceplate is OK.
It's possible the fault lies in the display resistors, inside the unit itself.
