Communication error between IPC board and
finisher.

(1) Confirm the setting of 08 Code 1912.
(2) Check if the specified finisher is attached.
(3) Check if the harness connecting the IPC board and the finisher controller PC board is
disconnected or open circuited.
(4) Check if the conductor pattern on the IPC board is short circuited or open circuited.
(5) Check if the conductor pattern on the finisher controller PC board is short circuited or open
circuited.
(6) Replace the IPC board.
(7) Replace the finisher controller PC board.

Possible short in the mains circuit. You need to remove the back panel and check the main wire to the board. Sometimes the surge protector which is within the board could be short due to a high surge voltage, you could use a meter to see if the AC input is short which can confirm this fault. If not the main board could be faulty. Disconnect one circuit at a time , one connector at a time to solve this case by elimination of each circuit and confirm when the short finally is seen.

Could be a problem with the motor that has caused it, usually caused by the brushes wearing down and short circuiting the armature, causing the board to blow, you need to check the brushes before doing anything else.
