My printers keeps losing its connection to my laptop and Ipad and I have to keep reinstalling every time I want to use them together.

I gave a cannon Pixma 712. I installed it and it worked great. I could print from both my laptop and Ipad. A couple weeks later, I tried to print, and the Ipad would not locate it, and the laptop could not find it either. I uninstalled everything, reinstalled all drivers, and again it worked. A couple days later...same thing, I pad cant find it, and laptop cant print to it. I try to just update drivers and it gives errors. I have to totally uninstall the program and reinstall it. Then it works right away when I do it, but not again after that. Please advise what I can do. I have checked the firmware for the printer, and it is fine. All my other printers work fine, and the network it ok. The printer will scan and copy, just cant connect to computers.

It may be losing its IP address. Check the DHCP address affectation of your router. And leave your printer constantly connected to the router. You should also let your printer get the IP address automatically upon booting.

a quick remedy is to get a memory card reader. remove it from the camera then insert the card into the reader's slot. its fast and reliable. camera software and drivers get messed up really bad sometimes. its the drivers that gets screwed recognizing the camera when its plugged in.

oh by the way, have you tried plugging the USB plug to another port on your pc?

SOURCE: Computer not recognizing my camera when connected

Most of the issues can be solved by either reinstalling the software or by disconnecting and reconnecting the device.
In this case we can close in on three solutions
1) The USB drive in the system is not functioning. Try connecting any other USB devices to the same USB port and check whether it works or not. If the other device works well then it could be a problem with the data cable or with the port in the camera (usually firewire)

2) The data cable used to transfer data might have become faulty.Try using another data cable if possible and still the same issue continues then try connecting another camera to the system and if the other camera gets detected then the problem must be with the camera.

3) Try connecting the same camera to another system and see whether the camera gets detected. If no, then the port in the camera is defective.

After this we can close in on which could be faulty. data cable / Computer / Camera.

SOURCE: USB device not recognized

Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2009/01/how-do-i-download-photos-or-pictures.html

iPad mini/iPad pro
  • 1. Connect your iPad to your computer or laptop and open iTunes.
  • 2. While your device is connected, force to restart it.

My N1 vison keep losing on wireless connection when i used 2-3 wireless devices in same time. My connection is wired to my Desktop PC & wirelessly to 1 laptop, 1 iPhone and newly 1 iPad. I noticed that...

If you have a 3G phone in the house, It operates at the same frequency and is a nono.

If not I would suggest you completley rest modem and re-enter U/N, P/W etc and set up secure network also. If still a problem, maybe faulty modem.

Sounds like you have troubleshot all of the physical connections. Have your replaced/updated the driver? Go to HP's support website and see if there's an updated driver for your printer and operating system, i.e., mac, vista, xp, etc. My printer came with two discs and I accidently installed the wrong driver. I had similar problems. Hope this helps.
