Mark all the messages as read in the junk-email folder as soon as it reaches

Does anyone know how automatically mark junk emails as read in Outlook 2007? I don't like how the folder fills up and shows all the messages in there. I notice that there's a utility/plug-in called AutoRead 2.0 that does this for Outlook 97 through 2003, but they don't have a version for 2007. Seems like it should be a simple rule filter operation, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

Re: Mark all the messages as read in the junk-email...

If you go to your Junk Mail folder, and you mark one of the messages as "Read", your total number of what appears to be new messages next to the Junk Mail folder in the list stays the same. This is so that you know how many messages are in the Junk Mail folder. The only option within Outlook 2007 you have, is to set it to permenately delete all Junk Mail, rather than moving it to the folder.

Lots of different reasons:
1. Their email is marked as Junk by your Outlook: look in Junk Folder.
2. Their email or domain (ISP) is blocked by your provider. Ask your provider about their blocking policy
3. The contact may not know your correct email address: Send them an email that they can reply to.

With the AOL account you have setup, it will not delete the email until you choose Edit>Purge>Purge Marked Items.

You can chage Outlook Settings so that you only see "undeleted" items by going to View>Current View>Hide Messages Marked for Deletion

You will however, from time to time, Purge the deleted items as advised above otherwise performance may deteriorate.

Hope that helps, Pls rate the solution

Forwarding emails using Outlook 2003 Professional

I use Outlook 2003 and sometimes have a similar problem with messages I forward.
It only happens though with messages I receive in an account that is not my default account and which configuration (SMTP server, security, etc.) is different from the default account's.
And it happens because Outlook forwards messages from the email account the message was received, not from the default email account.
So if you have different accounts configured in Outlook, you might want to check the SMTP servers and security configurations of email accounts other the than default account (which seems to be OK since you can send emails).
You can also direct Outlook to send your forward messages from your default account and not the account the resent message was addressed to.
Hope this helps.
