I have Kodak Easyshare P712 it resets itself after every picture which sucks the battery down. How can I stop it from doing this

Just started resetting itself after every picture. Sometimes it does it several times in a row or when I am about to take the picture it shuts down and restarts itself. Just started doing this, but uses by battery up fast because of this.

SOURCE: My wife`s Kodak Easyshare V1253 has to be reset

Regarding the date and time, Actually its normal everytime you removed the battery you need to reset the date its is because the camera doesnt have a internal or built-in battery that can run the internal clock or maintain the date settings.,

Regarding the taking picture that will take time, it is because your using a too high mega pixel of the camera, Higher mega pixel will have a bigger file size and it will take to process the picture. the best thing you can do is to lower the Mega pixel or the picture size make it atleast 5MP or 6MP., I can guarantee to you you will have a great picture outcome and lessen the time of processing picture.

By the way you can lower the mega pixel (picture size)by pressing the menu button of your camera

Hello, This will be a high dollar repair that needs to be done by a camera shop that fixes Kodak cameras. Best to get a written estimate for this, not going to be cheap.

Easyshare P712 LCD screen will not come on no matter what I do!

There is a switch on the camera itself that can switch the LCD on and off.
If this doesn't work, unfortunantly KODAK no longer repairs this model any longer. Therefor the only alternative is a Trade up.

The Kodak P712 turns off and then on when I try to use it.

Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts, or it could be something more serious and expensive. Before you pay for expensive repairs that you may or may not need, check the Kodak Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
