Question about Mitsubishi CS-27205 TV

Connecting to a DVD/VCR player/recorder

I don't have an owner's manual for my TV. I bought it from my daughter-in-law's friend. Anyway, I'm trying to hook it up to a DVD/VCR player/recorder. I hooked it up to the TV as shown on the DVD/VCR player's manual. I can get into the setup menu to set the clock and then to the programming menu just fine, but I can't figure out how to get it to indicate which channel I want to record. The line that should say "channel" says "INPUT LINE 1" or INPUT LINE 2". I don't get it. I called Philips (manufacturer of DVD Player) and they said I was supposed to auto program the channels??? That's all they said - they weren't very helpful.

In the menu of the Philips dual unit, select set-up then look for channel auto-program instructions. Be sure to hook-up a tv channel signal source before beginning auto-search.Hope this helps.

Want to record VHS to DVD on my Toshiba DVR620KU but do not want to connect to my TV set. Is this possible? My TV is older and does not have the input/output jacks. I just want to put in a VHS tape and a...

If the entire VHS is full then you can easily transfer the VHS contents to the DVD. The video will play while it is recording onto the DVD, but you don't have to have it hooked up to any TV for it to record. Now if you don't know how long the VHS content is that you want to record to DVD, then you will have to hook up the player to a TV so that you can press stop when you reach the end of the content you want recorded. At least this is true in the way that I use to transfer VHS to DVD:

1) Turn on the unit
2) Insert VHS tape
3) Insert DVD-+R or DVD-+ RW
4) Using remote, press VCR
5)Using remote, press play then pause the tape where you want to start recording.
6)Using remote, press DVD
7) Using the remote, press DUBBING. The VHS should start to play and the DVD should start recording

When using this method, don't hit the RECORD button!

I hope this helps!

Converter box

The cable that goes into the TV sould come from the VCR output to TV plug.
The antenna input to the VCR should come from the antenna or DTV converter box.
The signal passes through or loops through the VCR.
If you hve a manual the connections are on pages 14 an 15.
Let me know if there are any problems and a time you might be hooking this up.

You can download a manual here:

Grundig TV - Tuning DVD & VCR

Hi there!
If the DVD recorder has an RF out then you should be able to tune it on UHF bandwidth. The cable should run from the RF Out on the recorder to RF on the TV. Switch the recorder on, put in a DVD and press play before tuning. Some DVD's require a disc before a Menu appears. Good Luck, Regards, JUS004

HELP! I can't figure out how to Connect my Sylvania DVD/VCR Combo to my older TV

Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder. You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
