I have a new RUUD 14 seer heat pump. It is heating and cooling properly, but when the heat turns off it makes a loud sqeeking noise from the inside air handler while the pressure is equalizing. The installer came back and replaced the reversing valve and still squeeking. It seems to be a vibration of some sort. The fan is not running when it makes this noise. Its loud enough to wake you up at night. The installer said that he installed some type of inline sound dampner years ago but cant find one anymore. He went back to the unit where he installed it and was unable to get identification numbers from the dampener. Do they still make an inline noise dampener?
