Question about Motorola Mobility E815
You may not have to send the phone out.I had the same screen and I got it by pressing the star and pound key I believe or the 1 and 3 keys or pressing the keys above that.It went away after I pressed them again. But I can't remember because I got to that screen by accident trying to remember my code to unlock the phone and start the phone to get it to work and stay on.

You say "reflashed with a new firmware" to solve the usb bootload problem. Where and how do i have this done?

Same thing happenen to me. brought it to alltel and couldn't be flashed because it can't get passed the bootloader screen. the phone is still under warranty so they are sending me a new phone. i have to send in the old phone when i receive the new one and they said they will take it apart and see if there is any moisture in it. if there is, i have to send back the new phone or pay 165.00. the old phone has never had any water damage and the tag is still white. but we will see. i have a feeling they will say that they found moisture either way, just to get the 165.00. how can i say they didn't? alltel said i wouldn't be able to get any of the information from my old phone. anyone know if i can?

Phone needs to be reflashed with a new firmware. But all saved data will be lost.
Then it will work as it should.

this happens to phones that have had water damage or something else and a way that might make it work is to take the battery out for no more than 60 seconds and put it back in and push the *,# and power buttons at the same time and if the blue screen comes up, while on the screen push the buttons and hold them until it goes normal. it worked for me

This means that the phone firmware is corrupt - you can try to reflash it using Motorola software update, but it might not work for a phone stuck in bootloader mode:

Your phone is starting in flash mode..You need to have either p2k phone tools or motorola phone tools..you can get them from www.modmymoto.com. once you have the software on your PC connect your usb cable and reload your phone
