I have been searching for weeks and have been unable to find a replacement pole set (part DC0084) for my ROWENTA IS-8100 Commercial Garment Steamer. When trying to screw the pole into the base the part of the pole that screws into the base section fell off. I thought I had found the part at 1800parts.com/product but what I received was only the top portion of the pole (part DC0082). Does anyone know where this part can be located? Thanks!!!
According to eReplacementparts the DC0084 part you're looking for is not available for retail sale. They do however inform that that the part is avaiable for sale via Rowenta Service Centers. You can find a list of these Rowenta Service Repair Centers by state, here. I hope this helps & good luck!
Testimonial: "Thanks Steve for your quick response to my problem. I've spent the past few hours calling around to different Rowenta Service Centers and was told by all that the CD0084 replacement pole set is no longer available anywhere. Rowenta Customer support confirmed this as well. Terri"
Oh, that's too bad.. unfortunately, manufacturers aren't obligated to make replacement parts for any specified period of time. When they're done, the best you can hope for is finding one unsold sitting on a supplier's shelf - but when those are gone - that's about it. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

got this off the manual for the IS 7800
CLEANING
Remove water container and clean the main unit with a damp
cloth. To maintain maximum performance, your steamer must
be descaled occasionally. The descaling intervals will depend
on the water quality and the frequency of use. The unit should
be descaled at least once a year or every 100 hours of use.
For descaling proceed as follows:
1. Unplug the unit and remove water container from main unit
by releasing container lock and pulling up.
2. Fill it with fresh water and shake vigorously to remove any
scale. Pour out the water and repeat if necessary.
3. Purchase a quality decalcifier agent and follow the instructions
of the manufacturer for the proper ratio of the mixture
to water and use.
4. After filling the water container turn it up and down to
descale.
5. Attach reservoir to unit, plug in and switch on.
6. Let the appliance run until the water container is almost
empty and do not steam any clothing with this mixture.
7. Unplug and detach the water container. Rinse it with fresh
water.
8. Fill water container with fresh water and repeat steps 5 and 6.
Note: If after descaling you believe that there is still buildup in
the boiler, repeat steps 1-8.

To start with, use distilled water for steaming. This will prevent calcium build-up. I buy bottles of distilled water for ironing/steaming only. I have never had calcium build-up from using distilled water for ironing/steaming. Do not use tap water!!!
You can buy some CLR (stands for Cacium, Lime & Rust) (can be found at Walgreens, CVS, Target, Walmart, etc.). You can run this product through your steamer to eliminate build-up.
Good luck!
SOURCE: on and off petal switch not working
When I took mine apart I noticed the switch had melted near the contacts. This makes me not want to fix it, but instead, look for a better model. Hope this helps.

The replacement pole set (part DC0084) for the ROWENTA IS-8100 Commercial Garment Steamer is no longer available. So I guess if a part of the pole breaks off like mine did you will need to find something else to hang your clothes on while steaming or buy another steamer. Unfortunately for me I will need to replace the steamer because I borrowed it from my neighbor.
