Samsung CLX-6220-FX vertical lines when scanning and copying

The reason for such lines if they appear only on scans/copies from the automatic document feeder (adf), but not on regular scans and printouts is that there is dirt on the small glass stripe next to the scanner area that is used for scanning from the adf. Just clean that glass stripe and the lines should go away.

Yellow Stripe Down Middle of Screen on Laptop

This system has a VGA port so you can plug in an external monitor. You can buy one for less than $130 based on the Sunday ads. Other than that, it is new laptop time.

Why are there black lines down the centre of my faxes

This can be due to some dust on the scanning apparatus. Simply try blowing it out. If it will not help, it is probably defective, however it rarely fails completely. On scanners it sometimes does yellow stripes. It usually comes with older devices.

Red/yellow line down left side of document when using feeder

the solution to this issue is cleaning the scanner glass below the automatic document feeder(mind you its not the scan bed that you normally use while copying) .you will get the ADF scnner glass once you lift the ADF door, you will see a 1 inch wide scanner glass.that is what you need to clean.

Black stripe down center of document

as you have cleaned the scanner glass..try these steps..
1)connect the printer to the wall outlet..
2)then try to make a copy..if you get lines..then go to next step..
3)unplug the power chord..press and hold OK and CANCEL button together..while pressing the buttons plug in the power chord..
4)after you plug in the power chord do not release the button till the screen goes blank..once its blank release the buttons and then turn on the printer..
5)try to make a copy..its still the same..it is a hardware issue..machine should be replaced
6)Call HP who would give u a rebate on old printer & replace it with brand new printer.

Black line down the middle of scanned documents.

Try leaving the cover open and run a test scan, once with a fresh sheet as the item to be scanned and then a second time without anything on the table.  You may see what is blocking the light source or possibly a defect in it.
Scanning is done left-right, left-right across the width of the page and the vertical stripe indicates that the blockage is present during each scanned line.
In servicing copiers and multifunction machines, I have found a number of curious contaminents, one of the most annoying was a moth, still alive, that would randomly sit on the lamp, causing some pages to come out OK, others not.
If your copies and printouts are coming out fine, then only the scanner can be at fault.

White line down side of page when scanning

If this is happening only when you are scanning using the automatic document feeder, check for something blocking light above the scanner. If you open the scanner top, look along the left side of the scanner glass where the paper is scanned by the automatic document feeder. If you see anything on the glass there, clean it with a soft cloth dampened with clean water.

Scanning document leaves streak down right hand side

Even a single grain of dust or a single strand of hair on the scanning glass will cause the scan head to perceive ink/image where there is none. Deffinetly try cleaning the glass using a good window cleaner, and a cloth that is completely clean, or even a peice of newspaper. If the black line remains, I would suggest taking it into a service center to have the scan head itself cleaned.
