Question about Frigidaire FSC23F7D Side by Side Refrigerator
There is no water coming from the dispenser. The ice maker wasn't working either and I switched the connectors on the control valve at the bottom rear left if facing the front of the frig. And now the ice maker works so at least one of the valves appears to not be working. I took off the demand side of the water line at the double valve and tested each valve by swapping connectors and activating the door water dispenser. Only one valve responds by opening. does this mean the one valve is not working properly? So it appears that the valve that was working was originally feeding the door dispenser, but for some other reason no water is dispensing. what other possible reasons are there for not getting door water.
I've been having the same problem, so I goggled the solution and followed many suggestions. I replace the one of the dual water inlet valve (218658000). This is the one on the left lower corner (if facing the front of the fridge). But it did not solve the problem. Then I found there was another dual water inlet valve on the right. This is the one that receives the water input. I found that one of valve (yellow color) rubber was stuck. You will have to disassemble the valve to see the inside of the valve. There is a spring and a round metal tube. There is also a plastic thing that will stop/allow water to go thru. The rubber appeared to be hardened so it got stuck with the housing. I replaced the stuck rubber piece and the water dispenser works perfectly. I appreciated so many people posted their solution. I hope mine will help others too!

The water dispenser on the front is working but the water will not deliver into the ice maker. We drained the lines and did everything possible to get the water to come into the ice maker. The ice maker is working but will not make ice.

From what you are describing, it sounds like you need a valve. Another common thing I run into is the cooling tank inside the fridge freezing. This will usually affect water through the door only. Remove the crispers and you should see a large coil of plastic water line attached to the back wall of fridge. You can check to see if it is frozen by blowing through it from the end of the line you removed from valve. BEWARE, if you blow through it, water will come out dispenser if line is not frozen. Have a towel at front of fridge.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello Jim czyryca - From what you are describing if the ice maker is not making ice but is dispensing water, sounds like the refrigerator has a frozen water line, faulty ice maker valve or bad component that sends power to the ice maker valve when needed. The ice maker cycles internally to call for water so I strongly suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately to assist with the repairs.
