Picture split I have 1st version xbox hooked up to my TV a Sony 1998 54 inch,where there are 5 jack plugs and I have them all pluged in (2red,1white,1green,1blue) but for some reason the picture is good but split into 2, so it looks like split screen. Please help me if u can spent alot of time, but cant figure it out.

TV quit picking up over the air channels while watching. TV Jack works on other TV and video cables in or HDMI connection works fine on the problem TV.

That is the part that contains the tuner.

no u will not be able to because you would have two seperate sources like to listen to ur iphone ud have to put ur surround sound on auxilary while for xbox ud have to have it on something else which ever port ur xbox is pluged into ur surround sound at or whereever ur tv is pluged on ur surround sound

I have a old 52 inch sony rear projection tv turs on shows picture but picture blinks on and off

unplug the tv for about 5 minutes then plug it back in

If you are using the HDMI input, you are using the best hook up that is available.
Is there a particular problem with the picture that does not look good?

Set the "video-resolution" on the XBOX to 800-by-600 by 60 Hertz. Your TV should support this configuration.

How to split screen and play 2 games at once

It depends on if your tv is capable. If it is, then somewhere on you remote there will be a PIP button taht will allow you to do that and there should be another button that will allow you to pick the component for the second picture.

X-box can be hooked up to component video. This is for better picture quality. Not all tvs have this option. Most newer tvs do. It uses green, red, blue. Those will give you the video. Then a red and a white give you the audio. Just match up the colors.

change the plug on the back of your xbox 360 from hd to tv unless of course your tv is hd then change it to hd :]
