Replaced bulb, but still no image.
SOURCE: Infocus IN26 Projector
Yes the problem is due to over heating. It would be perfectly acceptable to have inlet air to the projector that ranges between 70 ? 76 Farenheit. Most projectors are designed to operate with inlet temperatures well above this value, usually up to about 90F.Set your air-conditioner to the value specified and it should work fine..

Hi there
This is most probably a Ballast ( lamp's powersupply ) problem.
Make 100% sure that this unit is out of warranty because InFocus Projectors come out standard with a 2 year warranty.
SOURCE: i have an infocus in26 projector that has a shadow
it is the light tunnel. it is moderately easy to replace. just remember which screws go where. remove the lamp door, the top, rear and sides (8 screws on bottom, 2 in back). you'll see the colorwheel between the lamphousing and the lens. unplug the 2 cables for the colorwheel from the main board. unscrew the colorwheel base. the tunnel is under the metal clip next to the colorwheel. remove the clip and tunnel. replace tunnel and replace the clip, colorwheel, top, and lamp door. the top comes off as one piece, but must be replaced as 2 pieces. there are clips attaching the front to the top.
the part number for the tunnel is 306-0113-xx (if you have a in26+, it's # 306-0122-xx) and you can purchase it from any authorized infocus service center (find the closest one to you on the infocus website).
SOURCE: Infocus in26 fan runs continually
Hello,
The fan does run continuously on this projector however it should be running very very slow when the projector has completed it's lamp cool down routine.
The reason for this is that a portion of the switching power supply remains energized (running) when the projector is at rest. But as I mentioned it should run very slow in this state. If it remains running full blast then most likely the fan speed control chip is shorted which can cause fail 2 ways, either the fan 1. runs full
speed or 2. remains stalled (then the projector will go over-temp and shut itself down) I hope this answers you question.
Cheers
SOURCE: How do I replace the ballast in an InFocus IN26?
remove the front and rear bezels, remove the top cover, take a picture of the location of screws and ground wire on the metal frame. remove the top boards, remove the metal frame and there is the ballast/power supply. pay attention to the way the cable is routed to the lamp connection, also pay attention to which way the connection from the ballast is seated in the lamp housing. hopefully a new ballast will fix it for you, as to where to get one, that's iffy. you could try to find an in26 on ebay that has other problems but has a working ballast
