Your keyboard's bus is might be broken. I have the same netbook, and had a,s,d and the arrow keys didn't work. I suppose you have warranty. If you do, they can fix it in 5 minutes int the repair shop.

How do I control lock keys

The keys above the Function keys (Num Lock, Scroll Lock, maybe speaker volume or display brightness) will be in a different color than the white keys on your keyboard. Usually they will be blue or orange. There is a corresponding function key, usually left of your spacebar, that is in the same color, and it is usually labeled FN.

Press and hold the FN key and press the Num Lock key. Then release both of them. That should turn off your Num Lock.

Good luck!

I broke my spacebar off my laptop gateway computer! How do i fix this?

Of all the keys on the keyboard, replacing the SPACEBAR is probably the most difficult. The SPACEBAR is kept even by a metal wire that is inserted into slots on each leg of the plastic bar key. However, you have to get the wire into the slots without depressing the wire. If you push the wire down, you compress the wire and installation becomes impossible. As a general rule, do not remove the SPACEBAR unless absolutely necessary. If you remove the SPACEBAR, remove several surrounding key caps also. This will let you get some tools under the SPACEBAR wire later on. Once the SPACEBAR is reinserted, you can easily replace any of the other key caps.

I recently have been having problems w/certain keys on my Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad. I used some wipes to clean it the other day...and almost immediately the spacebar & a lot of of other keys...

some of the fluid from the wipes must have short circuited the keyboard! you may have to invest in a new keyboard and keep it away from water based wipes this time!

The keyboard is retiring. The keyboards are not terribly expensive. You can obtain one from your local agent and replace it or have it replaced by them

Space bar when pressed gives me a number 4

Try turning the keyboard upside down and shaking the crumbs out. If that doesn't do it, try blowing it out with canned air between the keys.
