Hotpoint Ultima WF840

The problem that I have is that at the end of the spin cycle there is a loud noise coming from the top of the drum. The machine still finishes its cycle but the noise is getting louder... Any idea of the problem? Thanks in advance...

Re: Hotpoint Ultima WF840

All i can suggest with the info you have given, is to remove the lid and check for anything lose like the weight block etc also have you checked the inner drum for play, maybe the bearings have gone please not to all it is not safe to continue to run machines that are making noises, they can only get worse making more damage, what can start off as something silly can eventually write off the machine start with that and see how you go, glad to help, if i have helped please rate me

I have a hotpoint wf840 washing machine (6 years old) and the wash program will not complete the drum turns but will not advance to the end or spin and on the front facia it states f-08 what does tis mean

F08 means you have a heater fault and in this case because the water isnt getting hot the program wont advance. Check out the heater and related wiring. If you dont already know the heater is at the rear of the machine. For more information about error codes go to

Code F/o3 keeps coming up at the end of the cycle and machine just stops working

Error code F03 indicates that the wash thermistor is open or short circuit.
Check the connections to the thermistor

Hotpoint ultima wf840 drum jammed display saying error code f 02 can any 1 help

Error F-02 is a slow drain problem. Undo and remove the wide tapering pipe from the bottom of the drum to the pump. Inside you will find a non return ball valve, clean this and your problem should be solved

On the final spin the washing machine is so loud you cant even be in the same room as it, it is not vibrating externally as far as i can tell

Remove rear access panel, and remove the drive belt.
Spin drum by hand, and if it feels rough or noisy, then the main drum bearings have failed, if no noise, then check motor for noise, if no noise, check the concrete wieghts are not loose, and that the dampers are not broken or worn.

Hotpoint ultima super silent w f 840 shows fault 03

Code f03 means wash thermistor open circuit, this is normally part of the heating circuit, suggest you test heater and thermistos located in the end of the heater, and replace if necesscary. If heater o/k , then could be bad connection to control module, or broken wire, if still no joy, then call Hotpoint.

Hotpoint Ultima WMA61 loud knocking noise in spin cycle

Hello I think that the drum bearings have gone on the machine..

To open the door and spin the empty drum quickly by hand and you should hear the noise or say a less amplifed one.. Also another way to check is to move the inner durm up and down to see if there is any play in it..

If you need any further advice then dont hesistate to ask....
