Screen won't come on

Hey the squeeze didn't work at first until i tried holding the red turn on button while turning my phone on and squeezing the lower left screen corner at the same time! Thanx

I just got a Razr off of Ebay only to find that the screens didn't work. I was getting all bent out of shape when I realized that my christmas gift wasn't going to be replaced in time for Christmas, until I found this.

Honeslty, I didn't believe GEngineering's solution at first, and it didn't work at first, but like others have said, it REALLY DOES WORK. Just use a good amount of pressure. Thanks for saving Christmas, guys.

Open phone, turn it over so camera is facing you.  Place thumb

in the area between camera lens and vol up/down buttons.  Place finger underneath the same relative area.  When in

position squeeze your fingers and the cases together.  This

reseats the ribbon cable located in that area.  Please let me

i don't understand where i am supposed to squeeze... can someone show a picture or give more of an explanation? please?

If your screen has been working and then goes blank either permanently or occassionally it could be that the flexcable has became un-secured. GEngineering has told people to squeeze in a certain place. That just happens to be where the flexcable is connected and by pressing really hard you are actually re-connecting the flexcable that had become loose or totally disconnected. If pressing hard does not work it can still be fixed by finding someone that repairs phones. The case needs to be taken apart and the flexcable needs to be re-connected. Do not attempt this yourself. This requires certain tools and the flexcable cannot be handled roughly. It damages easily. If you have the tools yourself you can do it as long as you are very careful. There is a video that you should watch prior to attempting the repair. The video show's how to take a v3 apart so that you do not damage the phone. (It is possible that there is another problem other than the flexcable, this happens to be the one that happen's the most to razr's.)

fixed my razr with GEngineering's solution. takes a large amount of pressure.

this is going to make me more cautious about slamming the razr closed.

if your screen is black then tilt the phone forward about 45 degrees an see if the screen is actually on but the back light is just shut off. i tried the pressing thing an it make my screen shut off!! but i fixed it by doing it agian, but my phone turns on vibrates and both screens and the keypad light up but both screens are stuck on hello moto welcome screen an taking out sim or battery havent worked yet!! please help if you can =D

thanks for the advice, was thinking i was going to have to go phone shopping after work, but your solution sorted the problem, nice on ;-)

Take the battery cover out, remove battery, remove label on the right under battery, remove the 2 small screws t4 torx bit is required or use a small screwdriver set like I did, carefully remove lower half mic assembly and you will see two connectors these are your problem and was mine. I took some tape small cut and placed it under each connector and reassembled the phone works good also clean all the dust from the inside of the phone with a air can.

Possibly the screen can be broken on the inside. Where the outside looks perfect. Take it to your local cell phone provider.

I tried pressing the lower left corner of my RAZR with no success. I read on another website to leave your phone off in the freezer for 15mins, I tried that and it worked!

my phone lights up on the keys, but the screen does not come one. can anyone help

Don't push too hard, I pushed really hard, and I cracked the LCD screen but it DID work.

THANKS!!! Bought an unlocked Razr off Ebay. It worked for a few days then screen went blank. I was ready to send it back when I found the fix here. Note: read GEengineering's post carefully and then apply a LOT of pressure.
