this will usually cause the sab to flash 3-4 times and then retrun to normal operation mode
I am sorry but since you did not provide me with a model number, I am unable to answer or research the issue with the clock. If you haven't already done so, consult your users manual for proper instructions. Since this unit has a factory warranty, I would recommend contacting your dealer for a factory authorized servicer to address the clock issue at no charge. If they are unable to assist you, post me back and I can locate 1 with your zip code. Tip: Always provide the servicer or anyone you contact, with the brand name, and model number to expedite your complaint.

the broiler came on automatically??? not a sensor issue. sounds as if you have a broken wire perhaps, or a faulty control panel energizing the broil element w/o being prompted to. does it say its broiling when element comes on??
I found the solution to getting out of the Sabbath mode in the technical information manual on www.servicematters.com . Push and hold the clock button for 5 seconds until it beeps and starts flashing. Unplugging the appliance does NOT reset it.
Gee, it would be nice if the Maytag site had manuals instead of just installation instructions for those of us who acquire appliances with our new house, but no manuals. Oh well, 1 hour of searching and now it works again. Geoff69 gave me the clue in his comment so I could recognize the solution when I saw it. Thanks Geoff69.
