Question about Evga e-GeForce GeForce 7300GS, (256 MB) PCI Express Graphic Card

1 Answer

Evga e-GeForce 6800 GS

Recently my monitor screen went to a purplish pink color when booting and now the yellows looks tangerine and the reds are off color. Have checked the monitor, it's ok. Changed monitors and the same problem exsists. Any suggestions or do I need a new video card?

Okay well the same thing happened to me and no you dont need a new graphics card you need to do the following procedures 1:upgrade youre driver 2:install the latest detonator softwear for youre graphics card. and if this does not work then you need to buy a new graphics card or someone spilled a liquid on youre mother board and will have to be replaced also.

Try changing the connecting cable. You seem to be connecting it with a composite cable which might have loose pins.

Monitor goes black after windows boots up

this is probably your screen refresh rate is too high.try booting the computer in vga mode and lower your default screen refresh rate.if it fails try with a older driver. the problem might be due to overheating. try cleaning your cabinet and install a new heatsink and apply new thermal paste on your vram chips.

After installing XP driver Computer dont boot after showing the windows logo. Monitor goes to black screen like standby mode. I tried various version of driver for this card. but it does not work. But...

I sound like the the driver corrupted some of your system files. Can you boot into safe mode and perform a system restore to before you installed the driver. If that works make sure you download the newest drivers from the nvidia website.
