Continuous clicking from an igniter in the off position. I have to slightly turn the control knob towards the hi position to stop the clicking and for the light on the control knob to go off

The light on the control knob stays on in the off position, when the light stays on the clicking continues. Only when I slightly turn the the control knob towards the "Hi" position is when the light goes off and the clicking stops.

Sounds like it was turned a little past the stop point.
Pull two knobs off and examine the back side that slides onto the shaft.
Switch them and try again.
If the problem is on the same burner, the shaft may be turned past its normal stop position.
You can try turning it until it stops in the opposite direction and force it just a tiny bit more.
That was how I fixed mine.

Some of the control knobs on my Thermador Rangetop PCG366W sink all the way in so that you can't see the writing on the knob, is that normal? If not, is there a fix for it?

Burners Do Not Start Hand on burners The Burners Do Not Start There are several solutions for this problem: The main gas supply may not be turned on. Make sure it is turned on. Check the power supply and make sure the unit is plugged in and the circuit breaker has not tripped. Make sure the burners are properly positioned. The igniters may be dirty. Carefully wipe the igniters with a cotton swab dampened with water after they have cooled down. Gently scrape the soil off with a toothpick. Avoid exposing the igniters to excessive water as a damp igniter may not light up. Remove any lint that may remain after cleaning. The ignition will be quicker if a cooking pan is on the grate. Ignite the gas at full and once alight, turn it down to around 50%. It should lock on within 6 seconds. Does the burner click when the burner knob is in the ON position? If yes, you may have a wiring issue at the outlet that the appliance is connected to. Turn off the main gas supply and contact a qualified electrician to fix this. Does the burner click when the burner knob is in the OFF position? If yes, check for the following: 1. Check to see if the burner cap is properly placed and the igniter is not wet or dirty. 2. Check to see if the regulator supplied with the unit is installed properly. The arrow on the regulator should be pointing to the appliance. Please call a professional installer

The igniter on our cooktop is clicking

Sounds like one of the burners electronic switches is bad. Under or behind the knob that you turn the burner on with is a switch. One or more of those switches is bad.

Igniter clicking when all four knobs in off position after water spill

It is possible that once the unit dries out the clicking will stop. If it doesn't, you will need to call someone to have the problem addressed. You will need a spark module and or an ignition switch(s).

Electronic ignition

Most likely you got water (or some other liquid) into the control knobs. Unplug, go to bed and try it again in the morning. If you continue to futz with it, you run the chance of burning out the electronics in the control knob, like I did. :(
