Question about Jenn-Air JMC7000 Microwave Oven

GE JVM1330BW Spacemaker Microwave Oven

After powerwashing the back of the house we noticed a small amount of water dripping from the microwave oven. I turned off the breaker and let it dryout for about a week. Now the vent fan, lights and clock all work but when you use the microwave it trips the circuit after about 10 ro 15 seconds? Is this fixable if so how and or since it is 10 years old would I be better off replacing

Unit quit running after a spark occured during operation a small piece of metal was on a container we did not notice

The false you saw may have been the fuse going out. A small but of metal will not kill the microwave. Just coincidence. Check door switches. If they are good then time for a new oven.

I Have a GE Spacemaker over the stove microwave. I think it is 1000 watts. It's 7 years old. Everything works but it doesn't heat anything. There is 23 volts going to the fan unit in the...

Since there is an amount of volts from the outlet, the fault is from the microwave breaker.

The solution is given below.

Reset the microwave breaker.

Take the back cover of the microwave off with a screwdriver.

Inside you will find a motor.

Most microwave motors have a small red reset button on them. Hit that button.

Your microwave should work again if the breaker was the issue.

Over heating and shuting off

I am not surprised! Cloth of anysort is not recommended to be placed in a microwave oven!

That includes undies and socks which many try to speed the drying time of.

Regarding the popcorn.. The oven is overheating due to a possible containment in a hutch, where insufficient airflow is available to lower the temperature. Pull the unit away from the wall to allow more airflow, clean the vents and help it breathe.

Clicking When Unit Starts

Q - When there is small amounts of food in the oven, arcing occurs right behind the plate where the wave guide comes into the oven. Sometimes it works well and sometimes you can't even put in a bag of popcorn. Any ideas? Could food have 'dripped' in here and be causing a microwave short?
A - Yes! Food splatter or drips can continue to cook and will carbon over creating sparks/arcs from the wave guide cover. Usually can clean up the food on and under the wave guide cover, if the oven liner has been damaged we usually lightly sand and touch up those marks with touch paint. Do not let it go for too long as damage to the magnetron end is possible as well :(   If the wave guide cover has been damaged, replace it!
