No channels above 47

I have a old model (maybe 15-20 yrs) Sanyo TV. That works great except I can get the tuner to program any channels above channel47. Is this a limitation of this older model TV or is there some setting I can change in order to get more channels using the tv tuner

Does your Sanyo TV have Aux inputs or just RF coax in? If
1) Coax only = buy RF adapter allows two inputs out to TV
2) A / v inputs available = use tuner source ( cable box,VCR,etc.)
    select video input on TV

Let me know if I helped you or if you need more.....T.

PS. To answer your ? about upper channel limitation--the older

the set, the more likely the tuner will be limited and to upgrade

is not needed in lieu of the above two options.....T.

If you have the unit set to cable/antenna and the channels are not locking in you may have a bad solder connections where the tuner mounts to the main circuit board, in the tuner or the tuner itself is bad. Without certain in shop tests its hard to pin point tuner problems. Depending on the age of the set a tuner may be hard to find.

There is a button under the bottom edge of the screen (with the controls) that has the options "Normal" and "CATV" - press this and it should solve your problem.

TV's tuner will not recieve all channels

Since you are not using a set top box, you will probably only get channels up into the 70's, if available in your town, as most channels above this are digital, which analog cannot convert.  As for the digital tuner, I have the same problen.  It will not pick up any digital channels.  Because of this, I have had to get a digital box(why in the hell should I have a digital tuner?) to recieve digital channels.  I have the same tv you have, except a standard def.  If you ever find out why your digital tuner won't work, I'd love to know myself.  good luck, hope this helps.

Are you using cable to get the picture? If you are, make sure the TV set is in the cable mode,If it is then you most likely have a bad tuner in your set. Good Luck
