MP3 Won'T TurN on PLZ HELP!

So I droped the MP3 and when i tried to turn it on, it wouldn't turn on. The blue ring doesn't even turn on. Nothing does. But when i hook the USB wire to the MP3 and the computer, it turn on...but it says "refresh database" and loads...then it the screed switches and says "connecting"...and i can't get anywhere with the USB wire connected because its charging...(i think)...My computer recognizes it and everything, it's when i disconnect the USB fromt the computer and MP3, it won't turn on...and it doesn't give a sign...It's jus plain out dead. What do i do???
