    Hi

No joy with reinstalling revised software. It is just odd that it all worked fine pre the installation of any logitech software - I just plugged it all in when the PC arrived as I couldnt find a disc. Since then the boys have added a joystick.

    Thanks for trying

Are you connecting by plug and play or did you download the software? (setpoint 4.0) I had the same problem and contacted Logitech and was told that the radio freq. waves between wireless routers, monitors, etc. will interfere with the product causing it to loose connection. Pressing the connect buttons will not fix the problem you need to download the software..(get it from the site) I have had many cases like this and found if the software is downloaded it solves the problem. Hope that helps you.

Humm.. when you say "on antoher pc it's fine,," is that other pc xp or vista? if it's vista I say that's the problem... many people are switching back to xp after having vista due to it's incapability.

is it a usb keyboard? usb keyboard support is probably off in the bios, so it will not recognise it untill windows loads driver for it. if you have an older keyboard around with the old purple PS2 plug on it, that should work for you to get into the bios. then turn on USB keyboard and mouse support.

Usb keyboard no longer recognised during boot process

Restore your PC before the BIOS update. BIOS updates are not required until & unless you face problems while running a software and it will prompt you for BIOS update. Do this update if its vital othewise do not intergere in the BIOS. I faced the same problem and after unistalling all drivers and again reload the original driver from MB VD slved it. Another thing in BIOS is USB setting at high-spped & full-speed. Try changing those settings and retry. Mine worked!...sodeep

is your keyboard usb? If so it may be that your keyboard is not recognised until windows boots, in which case plug in an old ps/2 type keyboard and see if you can change the options then

Logitech v450 versus vista

the mouse is compatible with Vista, so compatibility is not an issue. as per logitech, you may use the software downlaoded from their site instead of the one that came from the CD.

you may get it here:

if you have other questions please let me know and i will try to help out as much as i can.

Keys and keypad locked

Hi1
There may be a real simple fix for this.
Go to your "System Restore" in system tools.
Restore your computer to any date prior to this issue that everything worked.
Vista is a mess!

P.s.
Since I have no idea on what all you have done, I have some questions / suggestions.
1st: Have you Defragmented your computer? If not this month, please do so ASAP.
2nd: How much free space is left on your hard drive? You need over 15% free space.
3rd: Have you cleaned out you cookies, temp Files & Temp. Internet Files?
