Lock symbol on ds-2300

There is a lock symbol and it says download files but the files cannot be downloaded or played

SOURCE: DS-400 DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER

went on the "menu" option and formated the disk. I first downloaded the files I needed to my computer. Took off the "lock" option.

Had same problem. Found online handbook for DS-4000 and page 37 pointed way.
Press menu button on the handset.Go to sub menu. Page 37 of online handbook suggests you can lock and unlock from this but I used the format icon on the submenu to reformat the card. Seems to be working fine now.

SOURCE: Files viewable, but not downloadable (DS-40)

download them thru windows explorer then import them in...
also go thru the download menu and transfer user id to recorder

Hi, All Folders are locked and if you try to record its says READ ONLY CARD? I have 1 sound file on the card which i need. It won't play on the computer system either?
The memory has been corrupted. You will need to reformat the memory from the menu in order to use that memory card again. This will erase all files.

Recorded on Olympus DS-2300 and do not have the disc to download and listen recording on my laptop. How can I do this? Thanks.
Not used the DS-2300, but if the design is anything like as sensible as the one on my old WS-200 (and Olympus are usually pretty good about this sort of thing), you may not need any sort of disk at all.

Try plugging the device into a USB port on your laptop (the DS-2300 should come with a USB cable). Let it settle for a couple of minutes, then open "My Computer".

With any luck, the DS2300 should appear there as a new removable disk drive, from which you can copy the files onto your hard drive, or listen to them using (eg) Windows Media Player.

Nintendo ds - probelms connecting 2 ds's
If whatever Baseball game you have has single card download play then activate its download play option from the menu in the game. Then have the other player search for the software you're hosting. If it doesn't have download play, then you can't play like this.
