if you use an rj45 lan cable and not the usb to connect to the supplied routers you dont need to use the cdrom, just type 192.168.0.1 in your web browser and enter in the set and input your username (phone number@talktalk.net) and the password you got on your letter and it will connect itself

When i load up VDJ Home it comes up with a error message saying Warning! the skin you are trying to use has an higher resolution than your computer

I think you are talking about Virtual DJ software. Check your computer screen resolution: set it to Recommended level. The skin that you want to use might be too High Quality for your Video Card and/or screen settings! Check both and remove the problem!
Cheers!

I bought a new hardrive for my m2000 and when i load it it is giving me a "media test failure" response..... how do i load it properly?

If you bought a new hard drive (meaning the internal hard disk), it won't have anything on it. If you just install it and try booting your computer, there won't be an operating system to load. The BIOS (the operating system built into the motherboard) is set up to try loading the operating from connected devices in a certain order. Usually it tries the optical drive first, then the hard drive, and finally it tries to boot over a network connection. The media test failure message means it tried that last resort and still didn't find an operating system, and it's telling you that maybe you have a bad network cable.

You'll need to reinstall your operating system and applications so that the computer will start normally. If your computer came with a restore disc set, or you made a set yourself, you'd use those. If you don't have restore discs, you can do a fresh installation of Windows from CD. You need to find the disc for the version that came installed on your computer, since you'll need to use the product key from the sticker on the bottom. Drivers and utility programs you can download from Compaq's (HP, actually) support and drivers website.

Once you've got a bootable Windows system on the new drive, you won't get that strange message any more.

I have a client that has problems booting up. I tried to do a clean install of windows 7 on it but it tells me that it needs the CD/DVD driver for the drive.. I believe that it is unnecessary because the...

Hello,

There's still a need for you to install the driver enable for it to work fine. You don't only need the operating system's disc but you also need the drivers and utilities disc that came with the computer when your client bought it. However, if your client cannot find the drivers and utilities disc, you can go to the website of the computer's manufacturer so that you can download the compatible drivers for the computer. You have to select the model and the operating system that it runs which windows 7.

I hope this helps.

When i turn my computer on i get a message that says, disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter

Your boot file on your hard drive may have been corrupted. You need to start the computer with your operating system disc in the drive, and hopefully it will be able to repair your operating system. good Luck!

How to resolve low c drive space

Try restarting your computer. If you don't restart every so often, the cache memory in your computer, which holds temporary files, can run out of space. You can also go into your system tools under accessories in the start menu and use the disk cleanup to get rid of unnecessary and temporary files, or defragment your drive to rearrange files so the computer maximizes available space.

How does the router synchronize time?

The router pulls it's time like any computer. It uses the Network Time Protocol or (NTP). In order to utilize the NTP a valid Internet connection must be achieved. Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a protocol that is used to synchronize computer clock times in a network of computers. NTP is now an Internet standard. In common with similar protocols, NTP uses Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to synchronize computer clock times to a millisecond, and sometimes to a fraction of a millisecond. UTC time is obtained using several different methods, including radio and satellite systems. Specialized receivers are available for high-level services such as the Global Positioning System (GPS) and the governments of some nations. However, it is not practical or cost-effective to equip every computer with one of these receivers. Instead, computers designated as primary time servers are outfitted with the receivers and they use protocols such as NTP to synchronize the clock times of networked computers. Degrees of separation from the UTC source are defined as strata. A radio clock (which receives true time from a dedicated transmitter or satellite navigation system) is stratum-0; a computer that is directly linked to the radio clock is stratum-1; a computer that receives its time from a stratum-1 computer is stratum-2, and so on. The term NTP applies to both the protocol and the client/server programs that run on computers. The programs are compiled by the user as an NTP client, NTP server, or both. In basic terms, the NTP client initiates a time request exchange with the time server. As a result of this exchange, the client is able to calculate the link delay, its local offset, and adjust its local clock to match the clock at the server's computer. As a rule, six exchanges over a period of about five to 10 minutes are required to initially set the clock. Once synchronized, the client updates the clock about once every 10 minutes, usually requiring only a single message exchange. redundant servers and varied network paths are used to ensure reliability and accuracy. In addition to client/server synchronization, NTP also supports broadcast synchronization of peer computer clocks. NTP is designed to be highly fault-tolerant and scalable.
