I often use my blackberry bluetooth feature to link up with my car. Until recently everything was fine. Now it ask if I want to link up with the car and I accept and then it ask me for a password and locks the blackberry. I have not set any protection features. What gives?

I am thinking that it is prompting your for the "bluetooth" security code that allows the connection between the 2 devices (code is "0000")....
Make sure in OPTIONS / SECURITY / GENERAL SETTINGS, that you did not accidently enable a password.
Hope that helps! :)
