The mower is a cub cadet it usually runs fine until warm and will die start idling up and down and then die every now and then pop like back firing.it will start right back if you lift the choke i changed the fuel filter and the carb bowl was cleaned ran different gas in it.tried everything a guy told me his did the same thing and the coil was breaking down on his. not sure what the choke would have to do with the coil on the restart.

I had the same problem , found out it was the coil was getting hot. I replaced the coil which was not hard , remove 2 screws an unhook 2 wires. You have to get the coil from a dealer , in my area anyway. Hope this helped.

Why would my belt on my cub cadet 1046 mower keep popping off?

Did you put all the belt keepers back on? I find a lot of DIYers usually leave one off thinking it is not important.

Older cub cadet mower runs fine until blades engaged starts stalling out

Check that the battery is fully charged. If the water is below the top of the plates it needs topped up. If it is old it may not hold enough charge to drive the ignition and the electric clutch. The clutch can draw so much power the ignition falters and so your engine dies. The engine charger may not be able to cope with the draw off when the clutch first comes in.

Have 2155 cub cadet when it gets hot spudders then dies wouldn't start until cools acts like it not getting gas what could be the problemn?

To be quite honest it sounds more like a fire issue than fuel. More times than not when a coil starts going bad the hotter it gets the weaker it gets and sometimes stops firing at all until cooling down, occasionally a plug will do this aswell, but I think your coil is going out.

Have a cub cadet 50 inch cut zero turn, after cutting grass for 30 min or so it acts like wants to die but if I shut the PTO off it catches up but will start to die if I reengage the blades. starts a

When it starts cutting out and you turn off the PTO, how long do you have to wait until it can be turned on again? It sounds as if your PTO is overheating and loading down the engine. Run the mower for about 10 minutes, shut it off, and carefully feel the PTO housing. Resume cutting and repeat after it starts cutting out.

Replacing it is not as simple as changing the spark plug, but does not require an advanced degree.

Cub cadet runs fine until I start the PTO, then it stutters and dies. If I shut off the PTO blade, it will pick back up and run again

I had a similar problem with my cub Cadet. It turned out that the Ignition Module on the engine was cracked. Motor started OK - but died as soon as a load (such as engaging the mower) was put on it.

These are not terribly hard to check, and/or change, yourself. Easy to get to once the motor shroud is removed.

My 25 HP Kohler engine has 2 modules. EXPENSIVE from the dealer - found MUCH better prices online.

Check the breather in the fuel cap, run it with the cap loose and see if it is any better.

Cub cadet dies 20 minutes after starting

Slacke off the fuel filler cap when it starts to die, if it picks up again the fuel tank breather is blocked.
