Question about Marantz CDR631 CD Recorder
What does it do or not do? Does it read the blank properly? If it does and comes up as ready to record you need to check the inputs first and work forward from there. If it comes up with No Disc error or OPC error you may want to buy some different media to see if that solves the problem. We have three of these beasts and they seem to be particular about the media used. Our best luck has been with Memorex and Maxell.

This machine needs 1x or 2x media upto max 12x - faster types use different dyes that older lasers can't burn. Getting harder to find them but HHB still make some or you can use 'audio' cdr's.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Start playback on the selected source.
The CD recorder starts to record simultaneously and recording in progress is shown. The remaining recording time left of the CDR(W) is displayed.
Note: If you start playback on the selected source within a track, recording starts at the beginning of the next track or after 2.7 seconds of silence in analogue recordings.
