Dyson Dc07 dustbin will not release

My dog, my dyson Dc07, and myself went down the stairs with the dyson landing on my head before it hit the landing.
After I stopped the bleeding I reassembled the dyson and finished vacuuming the stairs.
When I went to empty the dustbin the trigger failed to release the dustbin and it now seems to be jammed. I tried removing the three screws at the top of the dustbin but couldn't get enough clearance to get it off.
Any suggestions for removing the dustbin in a manner that will allow it to be refitted and work properly in future?
Bo

Dyson DC07 dustbin will not release

Ouch!!! Sure hope you and pouch are doing well. Are you talking about the entire cyclone assembly that detaches from the vacuum near the power switch or the just the clear dustbin that detaches from the cyclone once the clone assembly is detached from the vacuum? My recommendation would depend on which latch you are trying to repair. Hope to hear further.

IF YOU CAN DO THIS REMOVE THE ROD TRIGGER ASEMBLY FROM THE TOP AND THEN PLACE THE BARE ROD BACK INTO THE BASE WITHOUT THE TOP AND ALIGN THE ROD TO THE TRAP DOOR LATCH AND GENTLY PUSH DOWN WITH SOME PRESSURE AND WITH A BIT OF LUCK SHOULD RELEASE BOTTOM FLAP IF SUCCESFUL WASH BOTTOM LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH HOT WARE AND REMOVE DUST & DEBRIS AND REASSEMBLE,

Dyson attachment

Dear Anon, I'm not familiar enough with the Dyson units to know exactly what the stair attachment is or what it looks like. If it is an attachment to connects to the end of the hose then it should come off the same way it went on. I usually use a twist/pull method to get these types of attachments off of the wands. If this method fails try getting something metal, very flat, that can be used to slide along the side of the wand striking the flat side of the attachment connector. This action sometimes loosens the connector enough to allow it to be removed.
If these methods don't work for you, you may have to break down and take to a vac repair shop and ask a repair tech to help you. Good luck!

Dyson animal dc07 does it have a reset button?

The reset button is incorporated into the on/off switch for the brushroller which is the grey button next to the red power button. Try hitting that button separately.

My dyson dc07 filter catch has snapped off and it's stuck

you need to take off the little vent that goes around the filter. this is hard. you take off the cover for the hepa filter (under the dustbin) there are three catches. you take off the two torx style screws under the vent and then you work the vent until it has come off. i still don't know how i did mine. then you can use a flat head screwdrive and hammer to put the latch in or out

How do i empty my dyson dc07

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

Remove the bin and cyclone assembyl by pressing the release button above the word Dyson on the carrying handle towards the machine.

Then hold the bin and cyclone assembly over a dustbin and pull the trigger located underneath the carrying handle which will release the bin base to empty the dust and debris from the bin.

I hope this information is useful to you and should you need any further help or advice, please contact our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Emptying cylinder

I hope you've found out by now, but, in case you haven't, the latch to remove the canister is right by the handle on top of it, just don't lift until you release the latch with your thumb, it's got a safety to keep you from hitting the release when you're using that handle to carry the vacuum.  (good engineering).

you can download a manual from the dyson site, here:
