My dog, my dyson Dc07, and myself went down the stairs with the dyson landing on my head before it hit the landing.
After I stopped the bleeding I reassembled the dyson and finished vacuuming the stairs.
When I went to empty the dustbin the trigger failed to release the dustbin and it now seems to be jammed. I tried removing the three screws at the top of the dustbin but couldn't get enough clearance to get it off.
Any suggestions for removing the dustbin in a manner that will allow it to be refitted and work properly in future?

USUALY REMOVING THE 3 TOP SCREWS COMPLETLY YOU CAN NORMALY LIFT OFF THE TOP WITH EASE.
IF YOU CAN DO THIS REMOVE THE ROD TRIGGER ASEMBLY FROM THE TOP AND THEN PLACE THE BARE ROD BACK INTO THE BASE WITHOUT THE TOP AND ALIGN THE ROD TO THE TRAP DOOR LATCH AND GENTLY PUSH DOWN WITH SOME PRESSURE AND WITH A BIT OF LUCK SHOULD RELEASE BOTTOM FLAP IF SUCCESFUL WASH BOTTOM LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH HOT WARE AND REMOVE DUST & DEBRIS AND REASSEMBLE,

Dyson DC07 dustbin will not release
Ouch!!! Sure hope you and pouch are doing well. Are you talking about the entire cyclone assembly that detaches from the vacuum near the power switch or the just the clear dustbin that detaches from the cyclone once the clone assembly is detached from the vacuum? My recommendation would depend on which latch you are trying to repair. Hope to hear further.
