Sound driver problem

Whenever i switch on my pc, i got instruction error in loading cmicnfg.exe also sound i missing in my computer

Just un-install and reinstall your sound driver. Use your support CD accompanying your system. If you got an assembled PC install the motherboard CD. And if you are using a seperate sound card do install the sound card driver CD. You can also try downloading the latest driver from the internet.

The problem is when my computer i switching on is dectecting a erro in desktop which say, The file 'Syn TPLpr.exe' on synaptics Driver Installation Disk is needed.

its because of missing files reinstall your synaptics driver. its a touchpad driver. do that also go to

run

msconfig

start up

disable all

close

restart

and check if error is not displayed dont reinstall the driver

To install audio / modem drivers, first download and install Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp32646):

Conexant CX20549-12 Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (sp36090.exe) (UAA Driver needed)

This will create a swsetup folder in C drive ("C:\sp36090")

Installing this driver may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.

3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"

4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"

5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.

6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.

7. Click Browse C:\sp36090 folder and select the .inf file (CpV30D5a) and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

Conexant CX20548 Modem Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (sp36089.exe) (UAA Driver needed)

Download and install Conexant modem driver (sp36089). This will give error message and also will create a folder C:\swsetup\sp36089 which contains extracted driver files.

The same method which is used for installing audio driver needs to be followed for modem.

No sound after formatting computer,code 39 error

Begin by visiting windows update, running a custom scan of your system, and installing any hardware updates they offer you that affect the sound devices installed in your computer.

File missing

HI,

1. START> RUN > type CMD > now paste the following reg add
“HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon” /v Shell /t REG_SZ /d Explorer.exe

this procedure is to remove the error that comes whenever you restart windows
something like “could not find SSVICHOSST” or “error loading SSVICHOSST” or “windows cannot find ssvichost”

and then try once........

if problem persists then reinstall win98 it takes just 10 mins...
if have important files then just give save all files.. while installing...
this will solve ur problem...
if it asks some specified file is missing then just go to first pc & give that file for search then
