In the Freezer or Fridge compartment, there is the Evaporator Fan (& Motor) If the freezer is cold, the Evaporator fan motor most likely went bad. Check to see that when the compressor is running, so should be the fan motor. If not, you have to remove it & replace it. It is not an expensive repair unless you call for service on it. Make sure that you unplug the fridge when you replace the fan motor.
hi! you mean there is ice on the part of evaporator or some in other part? its normally cool your refrigerator inside part.If ice is present your fan have insufficient air neede to frost free your evaporator its not the same with the origina you replace,beside your thermostat is not working have check this one.
Yes if you dont hear the evap fan wprking remove rear panel in freezer let me know what you see. Is coil iced over? Is fan running? Is the motor warm? Attempt to spin the blade gently to see if the motor is bound. You can oil these.
1. remove everything from freezer.
2. unplug freezer.
3. remove screws from back of freezer wall.
4.remove evaporator fan.
(you will see it at the top of the freezer wall)
5.install new one.
