Kenmore Trio: the refridgerator is not getting cool

In the Freezer or Fridge compartment, there is the Evaporator Fan (& Motor) If the freezer is cold, the Evaporator fan motor most likely went bad. Check to see that when the compressor is running, so should be the fan motor. If not, you have to remove it & replace it. It is not an expensive repair unless you call for service on it. Make sure that you unplug the fridge when you replace the fan motor.

Kenmore model 59675502400

if the evaporator is clogged with ice, then you have a defrost problem.
check the defrost heater and the bi-metal .

to answer your question what controls the fan then it is the module that controls the fan.

you said you have diagnostic to test the damper then there should be a procedure also to test the evaporator fan motor.

why don't you try it..

Yes if you dont hear the evap fan wprking remove rear panel in freezer let me know what you see. Is coil iced over? Is fan running? Is the motor warm? Attempt to spin the blade gently to see if the motor is bound. You can oil these.
