Sound like you might have a bad DVD drive the only recourse might be just replace the DVD drive. If it won't open.. most often you can use a paper clip to open the drive. There is usually a small hole near the eject button on the DVD drive where you can insert a paper clip end to open the drive and pull out the DVD. After removing the DVD you can test if the drive eject or not correctly with nothing in it. If it doesn't, have the drive replaced.

Sony Ns575p wont eject DVD

Someone is going to have to open the unit to look to see if mechanism is jammed or out of alignment or if the disc is not in the proper position---either mechanism or a jam is most common here.

My dvd player is stuck on one dvd and wont let me eject, change disc, or even stop the current dvd. display reads "locked" whenever i press any buttons. can only turn on and off the device.

Hi, For some reason the disk will not play. You push the eject button over and over again, but the disk slot will not open. Here's one solution...
* 1 Turn off the DVD player. Wait a few minutes, turn the DVD player back on, and
then press the "eject" button. If this does not work, turn it off and unplug
the DVD player...while you keep pushing EJECT button plug the DVD and turn it on (your hand still on the eject..) is should come out..
* 2 ..if it does not eject , unplug the DVD player again, Remove the screws off DVD on the sides and take off the DVD casing.
* 3 Look for the DVD holder inside the DVD player. This device holds the DVD in
place while the DVD player reads the disk.
* 4 Push the stuck DVD disk toward the front of the DVD player until the DVD
ejects. Remember the DVD player is not on and some force ( gentle ! ) must be applied.
* 5 While it is open, plug it on and place a DVD disc just to see if mechanism works properly..
* 6 Replace the casing and the screws. Plug the player in and turn it on. Put
another DVD in to test whether the player is finally working ..
Hope this helps!..

Wont eject my cd

Hi,

Try pressing repeatedly the eject button while you turn on the unit. If it does not work
then it is a mechanically problem in your player. You need to be manually open to take out the dvd.

The rubber thread which should be connected to the motor inside the DVD player might have moved from its place. You need to place the rubber thread to proper place.

Hope this helps.

PowerMac G5 doesn't eject

Your DVD wont show on the desktop unless a DVD is inserted. Which means that the DVD is either upside down, or simply isn't recognized by the reader. There should be an eject button on your keyboard. Hold that for 3 to 5 seconds and see if it ejects. If not, look for a tiny hole in the front of your case and insert a paper clip and push in until the DVD ejects. Some Macs have no hole and require a shop to extract the DVD for you. Another trick is to start up the PC while holding down the C key during bootup, which will make the PC try to boot off of the DVD. At which point the DVD should eject as the system asks for a proper boot cd.
