I lost the installation CD for the printer. the model is hp f2100 all in one . How can i download and install it in my lap top computer

Once you click on the model you will have an option called Softwares and Downloads. This can help you download the software for the version of windows you are running in the system.

You just need to select your operating system: XP or Vista and you can download the driver for your printer. Since you're not online yet with the new pc you can save the download to a USB flash drive and transfer it to the new computer.

Go ln line to HP and you can down load the drivers and you can order a new cd for HP

A web page will open. Follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., then click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthe file,doubleclick on the file, if you get introubles ,thenfollowinstructions below to reset and reinstall:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website and run the file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printer does not work on Vista

what kind of software did you use or did you just install the printer with the computer drivers i need more info about this problem

Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer websites rather then relaying on the old cdroms - they are probarbly outdated and made for XP.
