The language is not english in printing preferences. I tried the language settings on Regional and Language options but it showed already as english

Change language english

Hi,
  1. Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_47.png, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options.
  2. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
  3. Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.

To switch languages or keyboards from the taskbar

  1. Open shortcutcold.gifRegional and Language Options in Control Panel.
  2. On the Languages tab, under Text services and input languages, click Details.
  3. Under Preferences, click Language Bar.
  4. In the Language Bar Settings dialog box, select the Show additional Language bar icons in the Notification area check box.
  5. Click OK three times.
  6. Click the language icon buttonen.gif or the keyboard icon keyboard.gif on the taskbar to display a menu.
  7. Click a language or keyboard.

How to change the language

Hi!
Please try doing the steps below:
1. Open Control Panel and double click on the Regional and Language Options icon.
2. In the first tab, Regional Options, select English (US), English (UK), or any other English (there are many versions of English pre-loaded) as per your wish. The option is available in the first drop down list under Standards and Formats. You may also click the Customize button next to the drop down to customize the format of date, time, currency etc.
3. Click on the next tab, Languages and then click the button labeled Details. In the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box, you can see all the installed languages. Select English in the list of available languages under Default Language Settings.
4. To create a keyboard shortcut for switching among installed languages, use the Key Settings under Preferences. Please note that you can also use the Language bar to switch among languages. Click OK to close the dialog box.
5. To set English as the default language for the particular user account, click on the Advanced tab of Regional and Language Options dialog box. Make sure English is being displayed in the drop down box and check the last option in the dialog box.
6. Click OK to close the dialog box and log off for the settings to take effect.

I have an acer aspire 5810tz and some keys have both white and blue symbols on them for some reason when i click these keys, only the blue sumbols seem to work such as the white quesion mark (only showing...

The blue symbols are used for French input. If the Language Bar is on the desktop, just click on it and select English (United States). If the Language Bar is not showing then do the following...
1. click start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options
2. in the Regional and Language Options window click Languages tab then click Details... button
3. under Default input language click v for pull-down list and select English (United States) - US
4. under Preferences click Language Bar... button
5. in Language Bar Settings window click to set check-box to Show the Language bar on the desktop
6. click OK buttons to exit

Language Preferences:

Change language and regional settings:

The style in which numbers, currency, dates, and times are displayed isspecified in regional settings.

  1. Tap START > Settings > System tab > Regional Settings.
  2. On the Region tab, select your region and language.
  3. The region you select determines which options will be available on the other tabs.
  4. To customise settings further, tap the appropriate tabs and select the desired options.
And Tap the Multilingual Support then tick "Disable Multilingual Support"
