Question about Frigidaire FRS3R5EMB Side by Side Refrigerator
My Side by Side has warmed up in the freezer. The freezer is cold but not cold enough to make ice. I moved up the controls from factory setting to #6 with no help. I cleaned dusted the black grill in the back, the fan in the back is working good and the compressor is warm to the touch, but I would not say it's hot (how hot is hot?) and it's the one with the Blue Indian head. Then I went inside and removed the back panel, there was a bit of ice in the top so took a hair dryer and defrosted. The fan inside is working find, air is moving. 24 hours later still the same, had a little bit of frost at the top but the rest was clear and air was moving on the back side. I've run out of ideas. What do you think?
- Thankyou for a thorough description of the fault and the remedies you tried. If the compressor is running all the time and the freezer is not getting cold enough then it is very likely that the refrigerant gas requires recharging. A refrigeration engineer will be able to recharge it and find the leak. Sorry but there is little more you can do yourself without the correct equipment. -

Maybe you have leak capillary tube! and now lack of freon! find the leak with using of wet rub in soap! you see bubbles at the leak area! then resolder the affected area, then re charge a freon.
