Re: Power is ON,but no audio/video

Hello callasif, This denotes a problem in the high voltage power supply. Check the HV anode for 20KV-30KV, then check the horizontal output transistor for a short. you will need a schematic diagram a multimeter an oscilloscope it check this problem if you don't have this equipment and or no background in electronics I would suggest you taking the set to a repair shop to be worked on.

I can't get a picture on my Roadstar LCD8082D TV

The TV has two main sections One is the Audio component. And 2 is Video section. Since they are Separate and not dependent on one another with the exception of synchronization; (matching Voice to the Video), one section may work just fine. The other non-working section in your case is the Video. Over time various internal parts age and wear out from use or hot/cold. In the Video section a series of Capacitors, resistors, diodes, and transistors on a circuit board make up the Video portion of the TV. One or more of these electronic parts are going bad or totally defective. The only solution is a replacement circuit board. Do not waste your money on repairing a circuit board. If you cannot obtain a replacement circuit board, then the Road-star is now a Road Accor.

Sony bravia KDL-37XBR6 wont turn on at all, and blinks 6 times..

The 6X blink code is a bad back light error. could be one of the florescent bulbs in the panel if it shows a picture for a couple seconds and there is a darker band across the screen. Also Found loose connector CN6153 on the G5 Power Board.
CN6153 goes to CN6702 on the D4 board. Or the power board

My philips ts2554 tv keeps turning off need tech help.

Your power supply is gone. There is only one option. Sell it for scrap and get a new TV. They don't make parts for this TV anymore. Phillips/Magnovox has discontinued it and all parts.

Try to reset first if nothing happens we proceed another solution;

Resetting the TV

Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can saved time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet for 6 order to dessipitate the charge current.
2. Unplug any connected devices (Satellite, DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

hope this may help;

Sound works fine - there is no picture...

Your remote control has a button on it marked "TFT" (which is your LCD display). Power on your unit and hit this button on your remote - it turns power to the screen on or off. If your screen is just gray, as if it has power but not image (not black as in "dead") then you might be in the category of a different post of mine on this machine.

Find the codes andm menue for remote uRC3605B00 remote control

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or yourbrand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, trythe following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when youreach the end of all the codes for this device type.
  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing thefollowing steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keysor press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock inyour new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat stepsthrough 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the newfeature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned

Strawberru shortcake tv turns on then right back off

Sounds like the power supply may be going out, or check and see if there is a circuit breaker button on the back. Otherwise there may e a blown fuse that is internal. Don't open the back unless you have training on what is safe to touch as the picture tube can maintain a HUGE electrical charge that can stop your heart if you accidently touch the wrong thing. Sounds like a weak power supply tho. Jay

32 Toshiba TV no picture / bad pciture

Hello Suzid, It looks to me like you have a possible power supply issue (poor brightness on screen, shrinking of the picture, and initially no picture) This problem may put you in danger of electrical shock, so I would suggest that you not try to repair this set yourself. I would suggest that you take the television to a television repair shop. The power supply issue could be a low power or a high power supply problem.

It would not power up

You should open the TV and look for a blown fuse near where the power cable enters the set. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs. You can also check the board where the components are mounted and resoled any that look bad. Brief power outages may cause the TV to turn off on its own. If you are using a surge protector, try connecting the set directly to the wall outlet. In your case it could caused by a blown fuse, a leaky diodes or a bad solder joint at the horizontal drive transformer. All can be replaced at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace If this does not correct the problem, you may need to have your TV serviced or buy a new one. good luck!
