Question about Amana AP099R Air Conditioner

1 Answer

Amana AP095R no longer works, has a blinking light & beeps

I have been using this AC all summer up until yesterday when I turned it off & tried to turn it on again, I got a beeping sound with a flashing red light above the on/off switch. I unplugged it, tried to re-set it but nothing, is there something I'm missing?

Thank you for the reply, I had it unplugged since I had posted the
problem, when I seen that you had responded, I plugged it in to count
the flashes, but now its working again, go figure! Is there a site that
I can log on to for the code if this should happen again? I did a
search before finding this site, and there wasn't much available info
    in regards to this model.

    Thank you for you time

Hi,

When you're switching to a new or another TV other than the one that you're using or have swapped leads as you have described then you will need to reset the video settings on the PS3.

To do this turn the PS3 off so the red light is on. Hold down the power button on the PS3 until you hear a beep. Release the power button and press it again.
That should have reset the video settings so you will be able to set the video settings again on the other TV and access the PS3 menu to set it up again.

Regards.

When I turn on the PS3 console an orange light blinks for a few seconds then the console turns off with the red light flashing

Try this:

With the system off, hold down the power button on your PS3 for 10 seconds. This should set everything to default settings. If that doesn't work, try holding it down until you hear the beep that sounds when the system turns on. Keep it held until you hear 2 more beeps, and release it instantly. A bunch of options should appear on the TV. Select option 3. It will ask to do it again, just keep going until it is finished. If it doesn't work after that, you need to send it Sony. If you have a warranty, you can take it back to where you got it from.
