Re: Ringtones

Go into ring styles, and see if you can't select the ringer from there.

settings>ring styles> detail > calls, and hit change/select

Can i make any of my ringtones be the tone for incoming texts and also, can i use animated wallpapers that actually move?

you can download animated themes at and for your e71 phone. as for the ringtones, yes, you can use these tones to be the the incoming tones of your text messages. go to setings, profiles, general, choose personalise, message alert tone and choose your favorite aac or mp3 tone to be your message alert tone.

I have an lg decoy, and my wife would like to get the "whistle" ringtone (ringtone #9) for her phone. But we cannot find this ringtone anywhere. Is there a way to transfer a standard ringtone from my decoy...

For this, you will need Multimedia Messaging on your phone(Text Messaging, able to send pictures). You just hit Attatch, or Insert(dont have the phone personally but everythings relativeley the same). From this point either pick "Tone", "Music", "Media", "Multimedia", or something similar. Navigate to the tone and viola! Send it to your wife :) On the other side, if this doesnt work, google "Decoy Ringtone Set" or "Decoy Ringtones", you might get lucky!

Message alert tone for cect sciphone i68

If you have version 3 software there is no way that you can use mp3 or downloaded tones as message tones, best thing you can do is upgrade your firmware to version 4. Type this on the dial screen to check your version *#8375#

Downloading free ringtones
Its completely free, they have ringtones, wallpapers, videos, games, etc. Everything is sent to your phone via text message and you just save it to your phone.

I have a motorola VE240 phone. I have downloaded ringtones in my sounds files. How do I take those files and use them as ringtones.

To take sound files you have downloaded you have to move them to the phone memory instead of the memory stick. Also you have to send the sound to a MMS msg to yourself and then save it. It is very stupid and annoying that the manufacturer Motorola did it this way, they really shouldnt be taking the ringtone companies best interests over the end users.

Setting ringtones as you text message alert tones

You CAN set a song as your text alert tone. Here are the steps:
1- Go to: Settings> Profiles>
2- Select your options (e.g. normal, vibrate and ring, etc....)
3- select Options> Customize (2)>
4- Highlight "Message Sound" and select Options> Customize (2),
5- Then browse to the folder your song or sound is in (e.g. audio) and select the file you want to use and save it.

I noticed that the songs have to be under 30 seconds to use as any type of alert tone for calls or texts.

Hopefully this helps.

Set a ringtone for a text message SYNC SGH-A707

"My Effect Tones" can only be MMF files. Ringtones can be WAV, MMF, MP3, etc... as long as the file is under 300kb I think. You need to convert your ring tones to MMF to use them as "Text Tones"
