Every time I enter information I get this, "Please use only legal characters" To the best of my knowledge I am using standard english charcters and punctuation. Help!

Where are you asking what you were asking?. On FixYa?. The FixYa parser refuses to let anyone enter any character (letter, punctuation mark, ..) that is not part of the English alphabet. I just had a problem with a circonflexe (^) accent. In the opinion of their programmers, any such symbol is illegal (meaning NOT LEGAL)
Basically the letters, number, and other characters that are on the keyboard. Not the ALT+ combinations. If you're pasting from a word processor, use the "Paste as plain text" option.

use only pure English keys. (UK keys ok)

What kind of information are you trying to enter?
Try using only numbers and letters.
Characters that may not be legal could be anything else, such as
underscore _ dash -
period .
colon : semicolon ;
slash /
backslash \
and lots of others
I HAVE JUST FOUND MY PRODUCT KEY WITH 25 CHRCTERS IT IS UNDER MY LAPTOP, THERE IS A STIKER WITH 25 CHARCTERS AND THERE IS A DASH ( - ) BETWEEN EACH 5 CHARCTERS
THE CHRCTERS ARE NUMBERS AND LETTERS
