Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer

Dial won't turn to delicate or handwash...

The machine is washing fine, but I can't seem to turn the dial to either the delicate or handwash programs, whichever way I turn the dial. It just gets stuck. I think the dial is supposed to turn all the way as the dryer's does. Any ideas?

Re: Dial won't turn to delicate or handwash...

Is it brand new?? if it is the factory did not align the knob (dial assy) properly with the main computer, and on top of that all the cycles you think you are selecting really isnt that cycle at all!! It is two back from full left or right whichever way is not fully extending. It is quite frustrating for me to get it back right when i replace the main computer! The first one or two took me a while to get it right again. PLEASE rate my solution as solved if you feel I answered your question accurately. Thank you

Dial won't set

you can possibly remove the knob itself, and see if you can turn the dial itself. if you can, then you can probably see the knob is broken. if if the shaft turns, but doesn't move the gears, then you will just need a new dial switch.

Load size dial on washer spins freely instead of moving to setting

That setting has to do with how much water is let into the drum. You can get a new switch for that. If you post the model number.

Have recently been given a Nextra by a friend. however, when switching the machine on it takes forever to work. example ... when i turn the dial to quick wash i have to keep turning the dial off & on...

The fault as seen is with the program timer controller and you might need to replace this unit. The rest of the washer seems to be in good shape and so your washing is perfect. So the timer does not move or contact into the program outputs with the movement.
Try to swap the unit before you invest in one so as to be fully confirmed. Make a note of the connections and double check before this is replaced.

Hello The washing machine is not going through

The lid switch has failed. It will not spin because it is a safety device.

My Amana LWA60AW washing machine won't agitate.

Some timer dials will not turn all the time they will sit for awhile then advance . If it don't move for a long time sounds like you have a bad timer motor.
Some motors can be replaced and some you have to replace the complete timer.

Turn it water?

Well it turns out that the pipes were not properly connected...however, I think the machine is very confusing anyway. This is my understanding of the Malber WD this point in time. I've only used it once. The first dial (on the left) has to do with how fast you want to spin the clothes...I set it at 600 and that seemed to be fine for perm press. The second dial has to do with the temperature...I am still is the temp of the wash or dry? Its just darn right confusing. The third dial has to do with starting the wash. I put it on 3 for perm press. Now I wonder, if I turn it to 5, delicates, will it still go straight into dry mode? As a woman, I have a lot of things I dont like to dry, so if anyone figures this out before I do, please tell.

Steam cycle runs on every setting

The steam will only run on certain cycles. If you look at your dial you will see a pink line which indicates which one. Your unit does have a recirculatting pump, maybe you are confusing the two. One way to check is to run a delicate cycle. During the operation press the wash/rinse and soil level buttons together. Hold them, a display will pop up with readings in the second coloumn, and second row it will display the tempurature of the steam generator in ceilsus. This will confirm whether or not it is on.
