SOURCE: MY FACTORY RADIO VOLUME PROBS

More than likely with a 2003, the speakers that cut out are in the door or doors. Do they cut out of both speakers?

If they cut out of one, then you may have an intermittent speaker ( the wire to the cone becomes partially connected)

If both speakers turn off at the same time and you hear NOTHING on all speakers, then you more than likely have an intermittent connection on the radio itself and probably replacement is probably cheaper than fixing the radio.

One more thing
Factory radios sometimes have an amplifier in them. Sounds funny but they call the Radio in the dash the Head Unit and the amplifier is buried in the dash. You could have a bad amplifier or a loose power connection to it, but that is very unlikely.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Infiniti G35 speakers don't work

03 and 04 G35 vehicles had a Technical Service Bulletin issued regarding the audio circuit board. No sound was one of the symptoms of a faulty circuit board. There was a design flaw with the boards on the early model G35's that was corrected in 05.The audio units on those cars consisted of three pieces, the radio itself, which is just a silver box, a circuit board that attaches to the front of the radio and then the outer display. I would suggest contacting a dealership service dept. with your VIN number in hand, and ask if the circuit board has been replaced. Even if it has, It will still more than likely be the problem. It's either that or the radio

My 2007 GMC Sierra only plays sound out of the drivers door speaker. It has the Bose sound system. If the amp was bad would it still play out of a single speaker?

Did you try testing the speaker (not working) with an alternate music source?

If the speaker works, have you checked for continuity of the wiring?

Installed a Sony Xplode into a 99 Blazer and everything on the radio works but will not play through the speakers

The Bose system is complex - it has an amplifier separate from the Bose compatible radio. This amplifier takes low level audio signals from the radio, not full driver outputs from a replacement radio, and by trying to use the replacement radio you may have blown the amplifier. If that is the case, you may not be able to go back to the original radio.
The only option you may have with the replacement will be to find the Bose amplifier and bypass the connections to feed the replacement radio outputs directly to the speakers. This may not be as simple as it sounds, as distribution to the various speakers comes from the amplifier, not the radio, and the wiring from the amplifier to the radio may not have all the wires you need. Before going on, you had better get a wiring diagram for the Bose system (service manual or Alldatadiy.com).

does the new amp you have have a hpf setting if so check to see if thats on, turn off the x-over so it will play both lpf and hpf, bass and treble. are all the speakers wired to the amp aswell, this is the only thing that would stop bass other than the head units settings.

My 2005 Accord's radio / CD player will not produce sound to the speakers, the display panel works fine. Sometimes a loud static sound will come from the speakers with no volume control, powering off gets...

The sound chip may have gone in the stereo, especially if someone has had it on very loud they sometimes blow, otherwise you have 2 speaker wires touching each other, that way you only get static noise, insidee the door they sometimes come free and touch the body

Check all your speaker wires first.

Front speakers only produce static

The amps are on each of the speakers. There is a place in Florida that will fix them for around $85.00 each plus shipping. I put a sony unit in mine and replaced all of the speakers with the kicker ds series for less than fixing the bose system.
