Make sure filters are cleaned. Use a vacuum so you don't spread dust around inside your projector. Make sure the projector can "breathe"; has room around it.

Hi there

I would suggest you investigate it yourself first before dishing out that sort of amounts.

Check if the fans are running.

Most of the times the overheating of a Projector is as a result of a faulty fan.

SOURCE: Toshiba TDP S8 projector shuts down suddenly

The reason why the projector is shutting off is so the lamp doesn't explode. It's more of a safety feature on the projector, you can reset the lamp and it might work for another 500hours. If the picture is still pretty bright I can get you the reset procedure, but be warn that when the lamp does eventually blow it could shatter the glass inside, so be careful, it shouldn't hurt the unit.

My TDP- T91A gets hot on one side is ther two fans in this projector or just one? I hear one fan but it seems to get pretty hot on the other side of the projector. I just received this and it is new to me....

Lamp life is affected by a lot of things. Is the projector mobile or is it permanent mount? How many hours a day is the projector on? There is no set time for bulb replacement. When it burns out it's a good idea to have a replacement already to go when needed. If the projector gets too hot, it will shut itself down as a safety precaution.

I keep getting a no pc signal even though I'm connected.

if you get no power, you'll need to replace the power supply. if you are just not getting a signal, reset the settings to factory default on the projector and replace the cable.

"No signal" even though connected to computer

You probably have to tell the laptop to send a video signal to an external display--(i.e. <altF4 or <altF8) The proper function key will have a TV screen symbol on it. Default mode is "laptop only" By pressing and holding the alt, then pressing the appropriate function key, the laptop will switch to the next mode, laptop/external display. The last mode is external display only. By pressing the sequence again, you'll return to "laptop only" mode.
