You can purchase a commercial inverter that will convert the voltge for you. This is a source I found on the web: http://aconinc.com/index.php?route=common/home
I am not familiar with them but they give you some options.

CAUTION:Electrical work and repairs can be dangerous, especially around water. There is a risk of shock or electrocution, which could result in serious injury or death. We strongly advise that hot tub electrical wiring be referred to a licensed electrician. Local code requirements for wiring vary and may differ from the educational examples on this web site. The local code regulations must be followed, with permits and inspections obtained. The installer should read and follow the hot tub owner's manual and associated electrical component owner's manuals and instructions.

Watts is Watts plus some loss. Take your load voltage (motor) times its current that will give you the watts. Then divide that number by the source voltage (battery). Multiply by about 1.2 to pick up losses, that gives you an approximation of the wattage required from your source. Divide that number by the voltage that will give you the current required by your load. When you make the connections be sure the wire sizing is large enough especially on the low voltage (battery) side.

SOURCE: I want to re wire an electric motor for low volt

Look on the name plate. If it says under 'volts' 120/240 that means it's dual voltage and you can use either voltage to run.

Printer is not turning on

Hi dear friend , seems your problem is depend to dc controler board which makes hi and low voltages and sends them to other sections like drive motor-display - laser unit - fusing section and other parts in the mashine . If you are a technision so you know well what can you do , if not , just follow power cord and check if there is in put AC voltage ( 220 or 110 volts)on the power supply board ? If you saw the voltage on the diode bridge go a little further on the maun capacitor and check about 300 dc volts on it . If there is not ac and dc volts , you should remove main connection from power supply to dc board then check the voltages that mentioned . Remember that , this is step by step diagnostic finding issue and all of my prefers to you was depend to this point that be careful and if there is nothing voltage even on the panel lights . Good luck

Power supply humming

I think you have a 110 volt machine on which you are using a step down transformer. If so it seems that the voltage from the transformer is high or the current factor requirement is also insufficient . which can produce the hum or heat. Make sure the voltage is steady or else you will need to use a stabilizer or a proper power supply that is actually catering to the requirement of the machine. You have not mentioned the power factor of the machine and i suspect that the power supply used externally is insufficient.

You need a Step Down Voltage Converter (also called a Voltage Transformer)
which steps down 240, 230, 220 volts to 110 volts and
allows you to use 110 volts Devices from USA in 220 v / 230 v / 240 v Countries

Washing machine w/ 110v plug in to 220v

DON'T!

Never plug a 110 volt anything into a 220 volt supply and never plug a 220 volt anything into a 110 volt supply. They are just not designed to do so. Their electronic's power supply and their motors are specifically for the specific voltages. Changing the plug at the end does absolutely nothing.
I just hope I have got to you in time!!!

Dc9099 wont charge in charger. need new charger would like to know which one to buy, the one i have is from usa and is not compatible to our electricity

Firstly I would suggest that you check whether the problem is really with the charger or the Dc9099 Battery itself. All rechargeable batteries deteriorate over time, especially if they are left fully discharged for a long time or are frequently left on charge for extended periods.
If you have a spare battery try charging that.
You can test the charger itself with a digital multimeter (electrical test meter). 1) plug in your battery charger to mains supply and switch on. 2) Set the scale on the test meter to 200 volts DC Voltage (V--) 3) Insert the test meter probe wires in the sockets on the meter marked "Com" (black) and "V/Ohm (red) 4) Touch the other ends of the probes onto the metal contacts on the charger. It doesn't matter which way round you do it
If the voltage reads in the region 20-25V (will be either + or - depending on which way round you place the probes on the contacts )the charger is probably working okay.
If you have a battery charger that is for US Voltage (110)volts you can buy a 240V-110V step down converter quite cheaply here. http://cpc.farnell.com/_/mw2p-045/45w-230-110v-ac-ac-adaptor/dp/PW00942?crosssellid=PW00942&crosssell=true&in_merch=true&
