Question about Intel Motherboard
On this gigabyte motherboard I know it can use DDR2700Ram. Can you tell me how many pins needed on memory chips to install in the GA-81EXW slots. Thanks, help appreciated.
Any 184-pin ddr ram should work on this. You can actually use pc3200 (ddr 400) ram as well. Pc2700 ram is ddr333, and a higher speed ddr ram like pc3200 will work just as well if not better than pc2700, it will simply go down to the speed that the processor requests the ram run at. It's all backwards compatible, faster ram can run slower if the computer needs it to run at the slower speed. Depending on the price you can find as long as you get 184 pin ddr ram either pc2700 or pc3200 with work fine with your motherboard. Peter
