Jammed TEAC PD 100

CD is stuck in the changer. I've tried turning it off and back on which has worked a few times in the past. But not this time.I have the top off and by looking down in there to me there's a lot of "untouchables". So exactly do I get this thing UNJAMMED?

Today is June 12, 2008. It has been 252 days since the original post . . . hmm

On the front of your tower immediately below the door and to the left for the CD drive, you will see a small hole. "Unfold" a paper clip and push it in the hole. The CD door should open without any problem.

My teac 5 cd player wont play any cd's there has been suggestion that the laser reader is not working so how do I fix this?

It is a job for a Technician and there are no user serviceable parts inside a unit like this- people usually wreck the units as they are delicate.
The Laser pickup does not often times go bad that easily and that is just a persons way of sounding like they know what they are talking about but without substantial proof I do not just take that as fact. Many many other things can cause a malfunction other than the laser- it can be a nad spindle motor, platter distance can be wrong and can even be dust on he lense. I have working Sony decks here from 1987- these are the original pickups- same kind you have I bet.

Cd tray stuck

The tray may be jammed, or the timing gear is out of sync, or a broken loaing belt.

After 16 months our PD-D2610 CD changer has started misbehaving. Some of the 5 positions work fine but positions 1 & 4 almost never work.

I read enough comments from unhappy TEAC owners with similar problems to learn that the drive motor is to blame and that repair sounds like sending good money after bad. I'm going to buy a Sony changer.

The belt for the carousel has snapped and the noise is the gears continously turning and not being caught by the belt.

TEAC CD player jammed

I had the same problem in 2007: I removed the cover and manually encouraged the cd drawer to open. It has been working ever since.

I works mechanically, but doesn't play the CD

try cleaning the lens first use a lint free swab and GENTLY clean the lens. don't use any liquid on this. if that doesn't work then load a disc and gently spin the disc when it lifts into load posistion. if begins to spin on it's own then replace the spindel motor. if it still does not spin, replace the optical pickup, the EF sensors inside the pickup no longer have the ability to read (see) the disc.
